Camerless Assignment - Scene 1

The step down into the room makes it obvious that it is a different, special room. The main thing in the room is the fancy circular card table surrounded by 4 matching chairs sort of to the side of the middle of the room. Then the smallish, two - seater leather couch against the far wall is seen. Four square pillows and one long one make it look very comfortable along with the leather that is obviously very worn in. The two floor lamps shine on the couch giving the idea that it is often used for reading rather than just sitting. A small circular wooden table sits next to the couch. The child telescope in the corner by the window shows that there are kids living in the house. However, the only other things in the rooms that show kids living there are the open card box and several cards out on the table, and the fish tank stand, but no fish tank. This shows that the house isn’t super formal, because it is as if the family isn’t always on top of these trivial things. The last piece of furniture in the room is a tall, wooden bookshelf. This has books varying from National Geographic to Roses for Dummies, to a homemade book Happy Mother’s Day Mom. The less noticeable things are the two smaller windows, and one window that was triple the size. Then a smaller window in an octagon shape looks onto the front porch. The colorful but muted rug on the floor covers up most of the beautiful hardwood floor making it seem a little more homey. The last thing in this room are the electrical outlets and vent. Half of the outlets are covered with plastic, showing that there were once young kids, and concerned parents living in this house.
